About Us

ShelterMe is a directory of services for homeless Territorians, managed by NT Shelter and funded by the Northern Territory Government.

ShelterMe has been produced through the Client Information Referral Mechanism (CIRM) initiative. CIRM is an initiative under the National Partnership Agreement on Homelessness (NPAH) to connect people to service providers and accommodation options in the NT. The NPAH is an agreement between the Commonwealth and the NT Government to reduce the number of Territorians who are homeless, increase access to sustainable housing, and improve social inclusion of homeless people and people at risk of homelessness.

NT Shelter, the NT's peak organisation for housing and homelessness, consulted with the sector and recommended the development of a web based homelessness services directory that is updated centrally.

A CIRM steering committee was established with membership from the peak body, service providers and government agencies to assist in guiding the CIRM's development.
