An early intervention program providing weekly, overnight and two-week adventure bush trips and camps. The program works to prevent youth homelessness; drug, alcohol and sniffing misuse and disconnection of young people from their school, family and community.
Provides accommodation for young people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Crisis Refuge Program provides safe supported accommodation for short - medium term for 12yrs - 17yrs. Accommodation can be provided for one night or up to 3 months.
Silas Roberts hostel caters for Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander people who require accommodation at a subsided rate where part of the fee is funded by AHL.
Support services available for Indigenous people who are frail aged, ill or with disabilities include a Home and Community Care (HACC) program, a home-maker's program, respite care and supported accommodation.
For short term accommodation YASS has beds available for up to 13 weeks. YASS also provides brokerage for assistance to return home and/or immediate crisis needs.
Youth Housing Options and Pathways program (YHOPP) provides accommodation to 15-19 year olds who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. YHOPP also provides outreach support including medium term accommodation, advocacy, community education and emergency relief.
For short to medium term accommodation, KYASS has beds available for up to 26 weeks. KYASS provides brokerage to assist homeless young people in financial stress as well as assistance to return home to stable accommodation.
Assistance with Care and Housing for the Aged (ACHA) is a referral and linkage service for older people over 65 years or over 50 years if Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or under housing stress. The program assists people to explore a range of housing options and provides linkages and referral services to other programs.
