No Interest Loans Scheme (NILS) - Alice Springs

Provides people on low income with access to credit for essential household goods without the burden of fees and interest payments (loans up to $1,200).

Step Up - Low Interest Loan

Provides access to a safe low-interest loan, between $800 and up to $3000. Loan applications must be made for personal domestic or household purposes.

Housing Options Pathways Program (HOPP)

Housing Options and Pathways Program (HOPP) provides case management support for individuals or families in public, socialor private housing who need help to maintain their tenancy. HOPP also proivides assistance to individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and are on the public housing waitlist. 

Community Visitors Scheme

Enriches the quality of life of residents of aged care homes who are isolated or lonely and would benefit from a volunteer friendly visitor.

Financial Counselling Service - Darwin

Provides financial counselling, advice on debt management, negotiating with creditors and budgeting.

Assistance with Care and Housing

Assistance with Care and Housing for the Aged (ACHA) is a referral and linkage service for older people over 65 years or over 50 years if Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or under housing stress. The program assists people to explore a range of housing options and provides linkages and referral services to other programs.

Aboriginal Family Violence Legal Service - Barkly Region

CAAFLU is a legal service employing Aboriginal workers. CAAFLU provides cultural legal solutions and helps Indigenous families deal with violence in a positive way involving the community and community values whilst promoting law and justice. Services and support include: domestic violence orders, compensation for victims of family violence, family law (where it relates to family violence), court support, child protection and assistance with housing. CAAFLU listens and works with communities around family violence and its effects on families.

Crisis accommodation is available for homeless women and children; and also for those escaping domestic violence and sexual assault.
