Provides a 12 week program for residential and non-residential male and female clients with counselling, case management and referrals to other drug and alcohol networks.

Mental Health and Wellness

Top End Mental Health Consumer Organisation (TEMHCO) has now been in operation for over 20 years and has undergone several major changes since the change of management in November 2018. Our aim is to be the leading consumer-run mental health provider in Palmerston and its rural areas. We also provide high quality social and emotional support and advocacy service to individuals with a mental illness. We are registered as an NDIS Provider and will work towards creating an environment that has appropriate accreditation.

Providing free and confidential legal advice for women on:

-Domestic and Family Violence
-Housing and Tenancy
-Debt
-Superannuation and Estates
-Employment Law
-Sexual Assault
-Compensation for Victims of Crime;
-Other civil law areas eg complaints about government agencies and procedures.

Community Association

Provides accommodation, social security and municipality services for aboriginal residents of two communities within Katherine. Association programs include alcohol rehabilitation programs, sport, recreation, community patrol, a community store, building, construction and family activities.

Emergency Relief

All assistance (except purchase of capital items) e.g. food vouchers, emergency short-term accommodation, emergency transport to community and within Alice Springs, general bedding, budgeting, advocacy and referrals. No cash.
