Drug and Alcohol Services

Alcohol and other Drugs Services Central Australia (ADSCA) is a Northern Territory Government health service that provides treatment and support to clients affected by alcohol, tobacco and other drugs in the Tennant Creek and Barkly community.

Alcohol and Other Drugs Services Remote

Group programs for family members, people using alcohol and/or other drugs and for children on a needs basis.

Residential Rehabilitation Program

CAAAPU provides an 8 week residential rehabilitation program offering counselling, alcohol awareness, education, life skills and an after-care program for Aboriginal people with alcohol and other substance abuse problems.

Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation

FORWAARD provides alcohol and drug rehabilitation to Indigenous and non-Indigenous persons in the community. Services and support provided include: 12 week residential rehabilitation program that assists both Indigenous and non-Indigenous clients with problems associated with alcohol and other drug use, individual and group counselling, budgeting information, support with legal and health issues, family support, referral and liaison with other agencies, education and awareness programs.

Independent Living Program

Apartments are available for clients to live in with their family while they still retain the support of the Case Management Team from Aranda House.

Aranda House

Aranda House is a residential rehabilitation facility that offers a 12 week program and an 8 week program for volatile substance misuse.

Healthy Families Community-Based Program

A twelve week residential treatment program for Indigenous people with problems relating to alcohol and other drug misuse.

Intensive Support Programs for Young People

BushMob runs a residential facility for young people aged 12 to 25 years of age, wanting to get their lives back on track without alcohol, drugs or sniffing.

The BushMob residential service provides:
- 24 hour care
- case management
- counselling, brief interventions and life skill development programs
- education and training, and positive life choices

The BushMob residential program requires the participants to undertake alcohol and other drug assessments, receive medical check-ups and receive counselling.

Youth Accommodation and Other Services
