Emergency Relief

This is available for clients in financial distress or hardship and have limited means or resources. Assistance is offered in the form of food, blankets, financial literacy and financial counselling.

In Alice Springs Lutheran Care provides community services on behalf of the Lutheran Church of Australia under the Vision of ‘Working together to change lives and build caring, resilient communities.’

 

 

Critical Intervention Outreach Service

The Critical Intervention Outreach Service will provide:
Victim advocacy
Support at appointments
Referral to Counselling
Casework and Case Management
Proactive and targeted outreach support (Eg, Court, hospital, home)
Individualised Safety Plans
Referral to Parenting Support
Referral and assistance to crisis accommodation

Foodbank NT

We provide food, food products, groceries, fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and toiletries to organisations. The food is donated to Foodbank by Coles, Woolworths, Foodbank Australia and other local donors.

Independence Program - Alice Springs (TIPAS)

Provide regular outreach support, assist families with physical and material needs and help them to obtain permanent housing.

Doorways Palmerston

Service includes food vouchers, hampers, clothing, furniture and assistance with power, water, telephone bills and other financial assistance.

Topsy Smith Hostel

Long term hostel accommodation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander renal patients and their carer/partner. Three meals each day. A safe and secure environment with a night attendant. Assistance with accessing: Centrelink services, renal services, aged care referrals etc.

Counselling and Support Serivces

Holyoake Alice Springs works to empower the Alice Springs community to reduce the harmful effects of alcohol and other drug misuse by providing evidence based counselling and education programs, and ongoing support.

Support and assistance primarily for families and individuals affected by alcohol or other drugs.

Refugee and Migrant Settlement Service (RAMSS)

Free support, referrals & information for refugees and migrants who have been in Australia up to 5 years.

Accommodation Advocacy Service - Palmerston

Service with a focus on families includes support letters for Territory Housing. Assistance with crisis care including case-management services, advocacy, counselling, financial advice, bond assistance and referral to other appropriate support services. Outreach services are also offered to families.
