Ampe Akweke Place

Provides accommodation for young mums & bubs who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless .
Ampe Akweke Program provides accommodation for short - medium term for 12yrs - 23yrs, who are having a baby.
Ampe Akweke offers both Outreach support & residential support for young Mums & Bubs.
Accommodation can be provided for one night or up to 3 months.

Crisis Refuge

Provides accommodation for young people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Crisis Refuge Program provides safe supported accommodation for short - medium term for 12yrs - 17yrs. Accommodation can be provided for one night or up to 3 months.

Youth Housing Program

Provides accommodation for young people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
Residents are provided education & training programs for the duration of their stay. Living skills & training are also incorporated in the program.
The program provides an opportunity for young people to acquire a positive rental reference when applying for housing in the private rental market.
Accommodation can be provided up to 12 months.

Women's Refuge

The women's refuge provides short term crisis accommodation for women, with or without children, escaping domestic violence.

Emergency Relief

Women's Safety Services of Central Australia provides crisis accommodation, counselling and outreach services to women and children experiencing domestic and family violence. Assistance with travel support, emergency food and clothing is also provided.

Silas Roberts Hostel

Silas Roberts hostel caters for Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander people who require accommodation at a subsided rate where part of the fee is funded by AHL.

Emergency Relief

Nhulunbuy Community Neighbourhood Centre provides emergency relief for singles and families through food vouchers and clothing for people experiencing financial distress.

Opportunity Shop

The Opportunity Shop provides financial support to the Nhulunbuy Community Neighbourhood Centre through the sale of secondhand clothing, furniture, household goods and bric-a-brac all at affordable prices.

headspace Darwin

headspace Darwin is a free and confidential service that can help eligible young people aged 12 to 25 with their mental health and wellbeing. headspace Darwin provides assistance in 4 key areas: Mental Health, Physical and Sexual Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) and Vocational Support.

headspace Darwin encompasses a headspace Primary, headspace Early Psychosis and an Enhanced Care service.

headspace Darwin is an inclusive service which does not discriminate regardless of race, cultural background, religion, sexual orientation, gender or disability.

Domestic Violence Legal Service

The Domestic Violence Legal Service (DVLS) is a free service for people experiencing or at risk of domestic and family violence in the Darwin and Greater Darwin region.

DVLS provides free confidential legal advice on applying for a domestic violence order; varying or revoking an existing domestic violence order, police domestic violence orders, and referrals to support services and other legal services.

DVLS may also provide legal representation through our duty lawyer service at the Darwin Local Court.
